The Infinite Library
And finally, while reading through i (heart) photograph I was introduced to The Infinite Library. This is one of those "why didn't I think of that" kind of projects.30 April 2008

Today's Links Brought to you by the Number 12
On our way up the elevator tonight when we pushed the number 12 two great pieces of animation flashed into my mind. First, from the Electric Company came the pinball animations. 12! And then came those cule little lady bugs and their action filled picnic from Sesame Street. 12.24 April 2008
A Proposed Project
David Horvitz has a wonderful idea. I will do this as soon as I get back to the US. The rest of his site is filled with great ideas, all of them with heart.24 April 2008
Task
Living in Abu Dhabi has been a great adventure and I have learned a lot about life and teaching, but I will be so glad to get back to the USA. You might be asking Why? With the bad economy, cut throat election, high gas prices, terrible housing market etc... But ordering tings like the Task Newsletter (Design Observer has a good review of the project if you were wondering) will be available without paying huge sums of money to ship something halfway around the world with no guarntee that the local postal service will not find it offensive and destroy it or just loose it. I Love the USPS and will never complain again, because it is so much better than anything else in the world.22 April 2008
Things I have Learned
This is a book I will buy upon returning home. I met Stefan in Qatar and have to say that he is an amazing designer, and a really nice person.22 April 2008

Lola and Charlie
We in the Russell house really enjoy the adventures of Lola and Charlie, The Wobbly Tooth and Never Eat a Tomato being our favorites. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that these stories have been animated and are available on YouTube. Never Eat a Tomato part 1 and part 2. Enjoy!12 April 2008
The American Dream
You have probably guessed from my header that I like baseball. The latest mission from Improv Everywhere was to give a random little league team The Best Game Ever. Jumbo-tron, NBC Sports, program, post-game press conference, autographs and even the Good Year Blimp. This is absolutely amazing and I love it.9 April 2008

Photofit
While reading the current issue of Eye this story grabbed my attention. A project by Giles Revell and Matt Willey asked people to create self-portraits using an old Photofit kit used by police departments in the 1970's. Studio 8 has the complete project as a PDF download. I highly recommend it.3 April 2008
April Fools Favorites
My three design related favorites form April Fools were the "re-design" of Typophile, the release of Helvetica Serif and Estupido Espezial from H & FJ. Great stuff.2 April 2008
